Hiring a Photographer in Seville

Most people who book me are here for a few days and want photographs that are actually of them, in the city, rather than three hundred pictures of buildings and a handful of blurry selfies. That is the whole job. I know where the light falls at each hour, which courtyards are empty at eight in the morning and packed by eleven, and how to direct people who have never been photographed properly before so that the results look unposed. Sessions run from one to two hours, cover one to four locations, and fit around the rest of your trip rather than taking it over.

What I Photograph

Four things, mostly. Surprise proposals — the largest part of my work, photographed discreetly from a distance so the moment stays real, then a couples session immediately afterwards. Families and couples, from toddlers to grandparents, at a pace that suits whoever is smallest. Solo and travel portraits, for people who want a proper record of a trip they took alone or a birthday that mattered. And editorial or content work for creators and professionals who need a usable library of images from a single visit. Where We Shoot

Seville packs an unusual number of distinct backdrops into a small area. The Plaza de España is the signature location — tiled alcoves, bridges, the sweep of the building behind you. The Real Alcázar gives you Moorish arches and shaded gardens that hold up in high summer. Barrio Santa Cruz is whitewashed lanes and iron balconies. The Cathedral and Giralda anchor a session in the most recognisable view in the city. Triana and the riverside give you water and the best sunset light. The Best Time of Day, and the Best Time of Year

Light matters more than location. Sunrise and the hour before sunset give warm, low, directional light that flatters skin and brings out the colour in Seville's stone and tilework. Early morning has a second advantage: the Plaza de España is close to empty at eight and crowded by eleven. Between June and September I schedule almost exclusively at dawn, because midday heat and overhead sun make everything harder. Spring and autumn — March to May, late September to November — are the best seasons overall. Winter is quiet, mild, and genuinely underrated, with usable light through most of the day.

How a Session Works

We agree locations and a start time before you arrive, so nothing is decided on the day while everyone stands around in the sun. I meet you at the first spot and we begin with the easy things — walking, talking, moving — until the camera stops being the point. From there I work through whatever the session calls for, then loosen off again at the end. I direct continuously, so you are never left wondering what to do with your hands. What You Receive

Every image is individually edited for colour, exposure and tone, then delivered in a private online gallery you can download at full resolution. The files are yours — print them, share them, do what you like with them. Turnaround is usually around two weeks, with a short preview set sent within a few days so you have something to show while the trip is still fresh. Galleries stay online for you to return to. There is no per-image upsell and no watermarking on the delivered files.

Working With Visitors

Most of my clients are visiting rather than living here, which shapes how I work. Sessions are planned around flight times and fixed itineraries. If your dates are tight, tell me when you land and when you leave and I will suggest the slot with the best light inside that window. Rain is uncommon but possible between November and February; if the weather turns we move to another slot in your trip wherever your schedule allows. Bookings a week or two ahead are ideal, particularly in spring and autumn, but last-minute requests are often possible — it costs nothing to ask.

Booking and Prices

Every session is quoted individually, because an hour of solo portraits and a two-hour surprise proposal with a couples shoot afterwards are not the same job. What changes the price is how long we shoot, how many locations, and how many edited images you want.
