Planning the perfect surprise, step by step
Booking a proposal photographer in a city you may never have visited can feel like a lot to organise — but it's simpler than you'd think, and the planning is mostly on my side. I'm a Seville-based proposal photographer, and here's exactly how it works when you hire me, from your very first message to the finished gallery in your hands.
1. Get in touch as early as you can
A quick message with your rough date and the city is all it takes to start. The earlier you reach out, the more time we have to scout the perfect spot, plan around the best light, and — for ticketed places like the Real Alcázar — secure the right entry. 2. We choose the location together

3. We plan the surprise so nothing gives it away
Together we agree a subtle signal, a believable cover story, and the exact timing. You don't have to organise anything complicated — you simply bring your partner to the right place at the right moment, and leave the rest to me.
4. The proposal, captured discreetly
On the day I'm already in position, blending in with the crowd and using a long lens. I capture the walk up, the question, and the reaction on your partner's face — completely unnoticed — then step out and introduce myself once the answer is yes.
5. Your couples shoot and gallery
Straight after the yes, we spend a relaxed half hour on a couples session while the emotion is still fresh. A little while later you receive a full, beautifully edited gallery online — ready to share with everyone waiting to hear the news.
