Maybe you've just got engaged and you're here to celebrate. Maybe you proposed somewhere else and want beautiful photos of the two of you in one of Europe's most romantic cities. Either way, an engagement session is different from a surprise proposal — there's no secret to keep, so it's relaxed, unhurried, and entirely about the two of you. I'm a Seville-based photographer, and an engagement shoot here is one of my favourite things to do — no pressure, no posing you'll hate, just an easy hour or two wandering the city while I catch you being yourselves.
How an engagement session works
It's simple, and I do the heavy lifting. We agree a location or two and a time — usually golden hour — and then we walk. I'll guide you gently: where to stand, how to hold each other, what to do with your hands, so you never have that stiff, "what do I do now" feeling. Most of the best frames come from between the posed moments — a laugh, a look, a quiet second together. You end up with a gallery that actually looks like you, not like a catalogue.
The best places for engagement photos in Seville
Seville gives you wildly different backdrops within a short walk. The tiled grandeur of Plaza de España; the palm-shaded gardens of the Real Alcázar; the whitewashed lanes and hidden squares of Barrio Santa Cruz; the riverside and skyline views from Triana. The best time of day and year
The hour before sunset gives the warmest, most flattering light, and early morning gives you the quietest streets. Spring and autumn are the loveliest seasons; summer works if we shoot at the very start or end of the day. A relaxed session of around an hour to ninety minutes, a route chosen for you, gentle direction throughout, and a full gallery of natural, beautifully edited images to keep — perfect for save-the-dates, for framing, or simply for remembering the trip where you started planning the rest of your lives.
